Upgrade Fire Alarm System at Dorms (№9628286)

This synopsis is for the Upgrade Fire Alarm System at Dormitories 90358 and 90369 located on Hurlburt Field, FL. This project is for the installation of a new fire alarm and mass notification system (MNS) for Dormitories 90358 and 90369. Dormitory 90358 has 108 sleep rooms and Dormitory 90369 has 138 sleep rooms. The current systems are not compliant with current codes and standards. The scope includes, but is not limited to, the installation of a new fire alarm panel, conduit, class A wiring, detectors, strobes, pull stations, speakers, duct detectors, MNS panel, and LOC panels. The existing system will need to be demolished after the new systems are operational and accepted by the government. The facility will need to remain occupied during the renovation project therefore a phasing plan will need to be developed. This acquisition will be a 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran-Owned offerors only. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this project is 238210 with a size standard of $15M. This contract will be awarded in accordance with FAR Part 15, Negotiated Procedures. The Government reserves the right to award a contract to other than the lowest proposed price. Performance period is 270 calendar days. The contract will be a single award, Firm-Fixed-Price type contract. In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude for the total project is between $1000000 and $5000000. Bid bonds will be required with the proposal. Payment and performance bonds will be required within ten (10) days of contract award. The work is required in support of the 1st Special Operations Civil Engineer Squadron. The issuance date for this solicitation is projected to be on/about 15 March 2018. In accordance with FAR 4.1102, prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) Database prior to award of a government contract. Offerors are further advised that failure to register in the SAM Database will render your firm ineligible for award. Registration requires applicants to have a DUNS number.
