NOAA’s Acquisition & Grants Office (AGO),Satellite and Information Acquisition Division (SIAD) Branch, intends to award Sole Source basis, under authority of FAR 13.106-1(b), with Gimmal LLC (DUNS 07835483) 24 Greenway Place Suite 1000, Houston, TX 77046-2406. Gimmal shall provide onsite to support the IT team to complete the configuration as well as train the staff. These services shall include configuration and training of Gimmal Compliance Suite software.
The Sole Source determination is based on the existing service Joint Polar Satellite Systems (JPSS) currently has the Gimmal Suite Software in its Microsoft SharePoint environment. JPSS’s IT team has completed the all the configuration within the SharePoint environment and now must have the technicians at Gimmal come onsite, and configure the front in and tie the two together. Gimmal’s is the manufacturer of the Gimmal Suite Tool, thus requires that Gimmal personnel are required to complete the required tasks.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation package is available. However, firms that believe they can fully meet the Government’s requirements may submit substantiating documentation in writing to the identified point of contact within fifteen (15) days after publication of this notice. Such documentation will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to conduct a competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
