As designed, the IDF will be two stories plus a roof level mechanical penthouse. The building"s structure will be steel-frame supported by spread concrete footings; the building"s exterior will be clad with glass curtain wall and brick veneer. A Class 10000 Clean Room is included in the construction of the laboratory section. Energy conservation measures include sun shading elements applied to the building"s exterior. The building is required to achieve a minimum Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) 2009 V3 certification of Gold. Associated site work includes roadway improvements, a new parking lot, site lighting, improvements to the existing utility infrastructure, soil erosion and sediment control, storm water management measures, and landscaping.
The resultant contract will be a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. The order of magnitude for the procurement is over $10000000 and the effort shall be completed within 548 calendar days after the issuance of the notice to proceed. This procurement is a full and open competition. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 236220 and $36.5M, respectively.
The anticipated release date of the draft RFP is on or about September 8, 2017. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about October 13, 2017, with an anticipated offer due date of approximately 30 days later.
