The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) intends to solicit and negotiate a Firm Fixed-Price, sole-source contract IAW FAR Part 15 to General Electric Aviation Systems (GEAS) to provide G2/G3 and G4 onsite support for the Generator Converter Unit (GCU). The services will consist of troubleshooting, interpreting and evaluating reported discrepancies to assist in determining if a GCU, subsystem replaceable assemblies (SRA"s), and/or other piece parts should be removed for repair; providing informal on-the-job training to reinforce troubleshooting techniques; interpreting technical manuals in support of GCU maintenance. This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority 10 USC 2304 (C)(1) as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."
