This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
This announcement is being issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) unless otherwise noted herein. The NJ Army National Guard wishes to rent Portable Light Towers in Fort Pickett, VA:
The light towers will be used to support twilight and nighttime operations. The supplier will provide service or maintenance and supervision of equipment placement and/or replacement and removal. It will be necessary for the supplier to set up, maintain, take down, and transport all light towers to and from the training sites.
Amount: 23 total (15 providing 15500 sq. feet lighted area, 8 providing 250000 sq. feet lighted area)
Dates of Use: 8- 250000 sq. feet light towers from 18 MAY- 9 JUN 17; 8- 15500 sq. feet light towers from 18 MAY- 9 JUN 17; 3- 15500 sq. feet light towers from 21 MAY- 5 JUN 17; 4- 15500 sq. feet light towers from 19 MAY- 9 JUN 17.
Power Generation: Each light tower shall have a power generation source (generator). The power source should be diesel engine driven. The lighting units should have sufficient capacity to operate for up to 12 hours without refueling.
Fuel: The government will provide standard diesel fuel for the light towers at each location.
Maintenance: The supplier must provide 24-hour service and support to all lighting units. The supplier will be responsible to perform routine lubrication and services as dictated by the unit"s technical manual. Only personnel authorized and certified by the supplier may perform maintenance on the equipment owned by the supplier.
Placement: A representative from the supported site will be on hand to assist the supplier with specific placement of the light towers.
Quality Control: The supplier shall follow the quality standards as established by the government.
Bid MUST be good for 30 calendar days after close of solicitation.
The National American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this requirement is 532490. This solicitation requires registration with the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to award, pursuant to applicable regulations and guidelines.
