This is an Urgent combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

The solicitation number is 73092121010 and this solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) Subject to Availability of Funds (SAF).

This is a SAF (Subject to Availability of Funds) Solicitation. Funding is NOT presently available.

The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-95.

This solicitation is Small Business Set Aside. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423430 - Computer and Computer Peripheral Equipment and Software Merchant Wholesalers. The US International Boundary & Water Commission is requesting Storage Area Network as per document attached.

Refer to attached document to include dates and places of delivery, acceptance and FOB point.
The FOB Destination shall be at the El Paso HQ.

The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible Offeror based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.

The clause at 52.232-18, Availability of Funds - Funds are not presently available for this contract. The Government"s obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.

1. The total storage needed is 153.6TBs but the drives show SAS SSDs. How many SSDs you need in this Array?
(40) Forty, 3.84TB SAS SSD drives.

2. Is there a certain size SSD that you have been looking at for this? 2.5"" SSDs are very limited in capacity so achieving the 153.6 Terabytes would certainly be an interesting task.
