Repair of Water Storage Tank (№10278010)

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission (USIBWC) plans to issue a solicitation (negotiated) for the purpose of repairing the Water Storage Tank and leaking pipes at Amistad Hydroelectric Power Plant and surroundings located in Del Rio, Texas.

The major repair efforts include, but not limited to the following tasks:
1. Remove and Repair the Elevated Water Storage Tank
2. Remove and Repair the 6 inch steel pipe supplying water to the Water Storage Tank
3. Surface preparation and painting the exterior/interior of the Elevated Water Storage Tank and the Structural Steel Frame Support
4. Disinfection of the Elevated Water Storage Tank and the piping systems
5. Removed and replaced all valves, pressure gauges and fittings

The water volume capacity is 25000 gallons and sits on a 100-ft. elevated steel frame structure. The objective is to Repair of the Water Storage Tank to meet the requirements of American Water Works Association (AWWA) standards, TCEQ and EPA.

The work is located in Amistad Hydroelectric Power Plant and surroundings located in Del Rio, Texas. A site visit date will be listed in the solicitation. The work will be performed under NAICS Code 332420. The contract will be firm-fixed price.
The solicitation, plans, and specifications are expected to be posted on or about June 18, 2018 (this is a target date which may slip or change; if the solicitation is not posted on Federal Business Opportunities by June 18, 2018 that is because the solicitation is not available for posting). The solicitation will be available for a minimum of thirty (30) calendar days.

This is a Presolicitation Notice. The Solicitation will include information on how to obtain the plans and specifications. All responsible sources may submit a proposal to be considered by the Agency.
