The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the historic rehabilitation of a 1909 Neoclassical style building at the Mount Weather Emergency Operations Center. The proposed scope of work for the undertaking includes demolition of two non-historic buildings (Buildings B406 and B411), the construction of new surface parking and surrounding site work, repointing and cleaning of exterior stone walls, replacement/repair of slate shingle roofing system, reconstruction of the two-story portico and terra cotta columns with base and capitals, second floor Juliet balcony and construction of an ADA ramp at portico. The project also includes a new three-story addition that includes two egress stair towers and two additional floors of general office space, and a new centrally located elevator. The performance period for the project, at this time, is contemplated to be 540 calendar days from issuance of the Notice To Proceed (NTP).
Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the base project is over $10000000.
