Synopsis: Added: Jul 12, 2018 7:58 am Concrete Repairs, Stamford Hurricane Barrier Pre-Solicitation Notice

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, is issuing a set aside solicitation for certified small business contractors for concrete repairs at Stamford Hurricane Barrier. The NAICS code for this procurement is 238110. The project is planned to be issued in Aug 2018, and will be set aside for Small Businesses. The project will occur in the spring of 2019 and is expected to take about 3 months, including submittal approval. The estimated magnitude of this project is between $25000 and $100000.

This project consists of completing the following tasks:
• Removing deteriorated concrete and placing new concrete patches
• Routing and sealing cracks
• Removing efflorescence
• Sealing concrete/steel interface of louver

The Stamford Hurricane Barrier is composed of an earthen dike and a 90 foot navigation gate. Work will be conducted on both the east and west abutment shelters.
