Contract Award Dollar Amount: IDIQ Max of 20000 titles - Initial Order values of $6785.00, $6700.00, and $9989.00
Contractor Awarded Name: Potomac Talking Book Services, American Printing House for the Blind, and Blackstone Audio
Synopsis: Added: Feb 20, 2018 1:11 pm The Library of Congress National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (NLS/BPH) requires contractor support for the conversion of standard digital audio files of commercially published titles to a proprietary NLS/BPH Digital Talking Book (DTB) encrypted format, along with the addition of short audio introduction narration and navigation markers to key areas of each book, such as chapters. The contractor shall be responsible for either purchasing a commercially available product or creating their own software with which to accomplish the conversions.
A very small number of titles (estimated at fewer than 100 titles per year) will require Spanish narration and conversion of the annotation. Offerors are not required to provide Spanish narration and conversion; however, those who can provide Spanish narration and conversion should clearly state this in their proposals.
See attached RFP for more detailed information. Added: Mar 06, 2018 9:36 am This Request for Proposals is being amended to attach Questions received in response to the RFP, and Answers thereto. Please see the attached Word document.
Added: Mar 07, 2018 3:11 pm
This Notice is amended in two respects.
FIRST: The deadline for receipt of proposals is hereby extended FROM noon Eastern on Friday, March 9, 2018 TO noon Eastern on Monday, March 12, 2018.
SECOND: A corrected version of the RFP is attached. The initial version included a reference to an attached Pricing Worksheet by mistake. There is no attached worksheet. Offerors should complete the table shown in Section B.3.2 Pricing, and follow all other instructions in Section L.
Added: Mar 09, 2018 10:41 am
The purpose of this amendment is to offer clarification to the corrected RFP document posted March 7.
Regarding the table in section B.3.2 in relation to Section L.4.2.3:
A separate pricing document as specified in Section L.4.2.3 is still required.
The table in section B.3.2 simply shows the terms in which your pricing must be expressed in your separate pricing proposal.
